Perinatal and Postpartum Therapy

Pregnancy is a time of great transition. Not only are you anticipating your baby and the upcoming change to becoming a mother, but your body and hormones are shifting as well. While many of these changes may bring excitement, it's also normal to feel some apprehension or anxiety during this time.

Once your baby arrives, there are so many new responsibilities and expectations that many new mothers struggle with. Many women experience exhaustion, changes in their relationship, identity shifts, feelings of isolation, and physical discomforts from childbirth and in their body image. Many new mothers (1 in 7) will suffer from a postpartum mood or anxiety disorder within a year of giving birth. These disorders are treatable and with help, you can feel well again.
